How to (basically) guarantee success
Rich people do this. Poor people don’t.
Hey Engineers,
By far the biggest difference I’ve observed between successful and less successful businesses is the way they think. Really, success is a state of mind.
If you learn to think like a successful person, you will become successful.
One such difference in how successful people think is around their goals and how they achieve them.
Less successful people set a goal and think ‘How do I get there?’, before setting out a plan to achieve it based on their presumptions.
Seems sensible right?
So how would a successful person think differently?
Well they’d reframe their question.
They would ask,
‘What would make it unreasonable for me to NOT achieve this?’
Small change. Big impact.
Suddenly their plan is built not on what creates a high percentage chance of getting results…
But instead on what creates the lowest percentage chance of getting it wrong.
I’ve been implementing this into my own life.
In my routine I’ve built a ‘daily buy-in’ - a set of 5 tasks I must do every day for it to be unreasonable for my agencies to grow at the rate I want them to. I’ve somewhat ‘overdone’ the routine to make it impossible not to get results, rather than doing the bare minimum that might work.
I’ve also built it into the Influence Engine program. Inside we now have a 90 day step by step program for generating leads in the next 3 months that if our members follow would make it completely unreasonable for them not to get clients. Literally the exact tasks you should do from day 1 to 90 (and beyond).
Side note - if you want to get access to the 90 day step by step plan, as well as training on the 6-steps you need to take to make 6 figures on LinkedIn, all my top content/lead generation templates and weekly coaching, come and join the community:
Reminds me of the great quote (attributed to like 3 different people):
Amateurs practice until they get it right.
Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong
My version:
Losers do what will help them succeed.
Winners do what will make it impossible to fail.
Success is a game of odds.
But rich people know how to tilt the odds in their favour using this kind of inverse thinking.
Try it in your own life!
